It’s April and the wedding season is now well under way. The question that usually springs to anxious brides is – what did we forget?
For us as caterers the activity level for the next few months becomes quite intense. We’re preparing the menus and getting everything ready for the many receptions we will cater for. And having done this for over 40 years it’s both a joy and something that we do to a high standard.
However for the Bride and Groom, it can be a “one-of” and often doubts jump into their minds. Will everything be OK? Did we think of everything? And when they have there is still a level of anxiety.
Ultimately the question always is: “will it be alright on the day”?
We hope that it will and we don’t want to add to anyone’s anxiety. All we would suggest is that you make a few final checks. Contact all the people and organisations you have contracted to do: catering; photography; car hire; wedding dress and bridesmaids outfits. These are the fundamentals at the heart of any wedding. Get them right and you should be alright.
We’ve had our moments when power has disappeared from venues we’ve gone to. But we’ve coped.
More dramatically are the time we are contacted by couples whose caterer has gone out of business. This is very tough on the couple. Fortunately we’ve been able to pull something together for them – even when their event is only a few days off.
So our advice – do a quick check to make sure everything is going to plan.
And if there any doubts or problems we can help you out.
