Great ideas for a Christmas menu 2014

Private party catering Hertfordshire

It’s mid October and the dust covers are coming off the Christmas decorations and other paraphernalia. Unless you are an all round food lover then you must be scratching your head thinking about the Christmas menu for your party.

It is certainly a good idea to start planning early if you are intending to cater for your friends, family or company staff this Christmas.

Christmas is a time for succulent meats, rich flavours, delicious vegetables and lest we forget the desserts! Of course, it can be a little tricky to decide what meat would be best and thus, I think this is a good starting point.

For a company Christmas party for staff or a bash for clients and suppliers, speak to a recommended catering company for some great ideas. Heriot Caterers are certainly happy to help with the many years of experience in Christmas catering.

Traditional Christmas dinner

Christmas is traditionally a ‘foul affair’, with birds such as goose, turkey and duck. If you fancy something a little more robust then beef can be a very good option.

Starter – of spiced butter nut squash soup

Main – of Turkey with an accompaniment of roast potatoes, honey glazed roast carrots, steamed broccoli, sprouts and chipolata sausages wrapped in bacon and turkey gravy.

Dessert – of traditional Christmas pudding and brandy butter or homemade vanilla custard

Coffee and cheese and biscuits to follow

If you feel that a traditional approach isn’t’t quite right for you and your guests, the following menu may be just what you’re looking for. Heriot Caterers are the premier, alternative caterers and here is their sample menu!
